Logistics Controller – New Role at Next

About the Role

As a Logistics Controller, you will sit at the core of Next’s global supply chain, ensuring international customers receive the seamless service they expect from the brand. Reporting directly to the Hubs Manager, you will take full ownership of the international customer journey from initiation to completion, acting as the bridge between our internal distribution teams and global partner hubs.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with senior managers, warehouse operations, systems, and customer service teams to enhance delivery efficiencies while carefully managing cost. At Next, our people drive our success, and we will provide the necessary tools, operational insights, and cross-functional training from day one—equipping you to confidently excel in this newly created, high-impact role.

What You’ll Take On

  • Manage international partner hub relationships, negotiating clear SLAs and KPIs for operational activities.
  • Oversee bulk trailer movements of goods, ensuring seamless delivery to international hubs.
  • Lead the end-to-end customer order journey across global routes, guaranteeing accurate picking, packing, shipping, and on-time delivery.
  • Facilitate regular planning and peak-trading meetings with warehouse operations and third-party partners to align volume expectations, sales periods, and system updates.
  • Analyse logistics data and performance metrics to deliver insightful, commercially valuable recommendations for process improvements to senior managers and Directors.
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks that could disrupt delivery promises, recommending timely solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Travel flexibly between South Elmsall warehouses and Headquarters, including occasional international trips to collaborate in person with global hub partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
