HR Director

Location: London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Director to join a highly respected, international life sciences communications consultancy. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving the people agenda, supporting business growth, and fostering a high-performance culture across a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.

We are seeking a commercially minded HR leader with a strong background in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or wider life sciences sector, who understands the unique challenges of attracting, developing, and retaining talent within a specialist scientific environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the HR Director will:

  • Develop and execute the global people strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Partner with senior leaders to support organisational growth and transformation
  • Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and diversity, equity and inclusion programmes
  • Oversee performance management, compensation, and reward frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Lead and develop the HR function, delivering a first-class employee experience
  • Support international teams across multiple regions and jurisdictions

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant senior HR leadership experience, ideally at HR Director or Head of HR level
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences industry
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence executive stakeholders
  • Proven expertise in organisational development and change management
  • Experience supporting international or multi-country teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, strategic approach combined with hands-on operational capability
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent preferred
