HRIS Manager

Birmingham or Crewe (office-based)
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week

The Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established operational business for an HRIS Manager to take ownership of their HR Information System and act as the technical bridge between HR, the wider Tech team, and their systems provider. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys getting into the details of HR systems, configuration, data integrity, reporting, and continuous improvement, rather than managing a team. You'll be the go-to person for HRIS troubleshooting, upgrades, and making sure the data behind the system is accurate, secure, and GDPR-compliant.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the day-to-day relationship with the HRIS provider, working closely with the internal Tech team on system requirements and improvements
  • Continually looking for ways to make the HR systems more efficient, intuitive, and user-friendly, including managing upgrade rollouts
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure employee data is accurate and well managed
  • Optimising the use of HR systems by linking technology, process, and people
  • Compiling HR data, reports, and records to support the wider business
  • Building out data analytics and dashboards in Power BI to support HR insight and decision-making
  • Ensuring the HRIS remains fully GDPR compliant
  • Leading an annual pension reassessment and pension restructuring premium calculation process

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
