Company Description

Global Policy Network (GPN) is a global health think tank focused on advancing evidence-based policies that improve access, affordability, and sustainability in healthcare and education. GPN convenes policy leaders, market access experts, academics, payers, innovators, and civil society to co-create actionable strategies for more equitable health systems. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 3 and SDG 17, GPN operates at the intersection of policy, strategy, and implementation to support innovative healthcare solutions across the continuum of care. The organization engages in topics such as academic research integration, regulatory and HTA evolution, market access frameworks, health equity, and policy reform in health, education, and sustainability. GPN collaborates with governments, international organizations, industry, nonprofits, and research institutions to reinforce and transform health systems worldwide.

Location: Remote
Commitment: Monday to Friday (9AM to 5 PM)

Role Description

The Human Resource Lead will oversee and coordinate core HR functions to support GPN’s global, mission-driven team in a remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining HR policies, managing volunteer and staff onboarding, and supporting personnel records and documentation. The role will help design and administer volunteer and employee benefit frameworks appropriate to a distributed, international team, while promoting a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment. The Human Resource Lead will partner with leadership to identify capacity needs, support role definition and recruitment processes, and implement simple performance and engagement practices suitable for a volunteer-driven organization. This position involves regular virtual collaboration across time zones, ensuring that HR practices align with GPN’s values of equity, transparency, and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including coordinating HR processes in a distributed or international setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, with the ability to adapt frameworks to a volunteer-based organization.
  • Competence in Personnel Management, including onboarding, documentation, and basic performance and engagement support.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities remotely.
  • Familiarity with international or cross-cultural work environments; prior experience in nonprofits, global health, policy, or advocacy is an advantage.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools and basic HR documentation systems; ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
