Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist with a strong understanding of UK employment law to oversee full-cycle recruitment, employee life-cycle management, and HR compliance for our UK retail operations. This role involves regular store visits and close collaboration with operational leaders to support workforce effectiveness and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer management.
  • Support high-volume hiring initiatives through diverse sourcing strategies and talent pipelines.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes in full compliance with UK employment law and GDPR requirements.
  • Coordinate training programmes, track compliance certifications, and identify development needs within the workforce.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and HR policy queries.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records, prepare HR reports, and support process optimisation initiatives.
  • Ensure all HR activities align with UK employment legislation, including the Employment Rights Act, Equality Act, and other relevant statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3+ years of HR experience within the retail sector; high-volume hiring experience preferred.
  • Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including the Employment Rights Act, Equality Act, and related regulations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of discretion.
