Job Title: Human Resources Administrator

Location: Poole

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

Role: Permanent – Full time


A well-established and growing organisation is looking to appoint a professional, approachable and people-focused HR Administrator to join its Head Office team.

This is a varied and hands-on generalist HR role where you will act as a key point of contact for managers and employees across the business. You'll play a vital role in supporting people, promoting best practice, ensuring compliance, and helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Working closely with operational and support teams across multiple locations, you will provide expert HR guidance throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, performance management, training and wellbeing initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while building strong relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of a compliant, effective and people-focused HR service
  • Providing guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, policies and procedures
  • Managing onboarding processes, including right-to-work checks and new starter administration
  • Supporting recruitment activities, inductions and employee integration
  • Coordinating training and development initiatives across the business
  • Assisting with disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management processes
  • Promoting employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Supporting policy development and ensuring HR procedures remain up to date
  • Producing HR reports and management information to support business decisions
  • Assisting with organisational change projects and people-related initiatives
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience within an HR Officer, HR Administrator, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role
  • Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and its practical application
  • Experience supporting employee relations casework and people management processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and HR systems
  • Experience producing HR data and management reporting would be advantageous
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification preferred
