HR Administrator – 37.5 hours per week (opportunity for hybrid working)

Location: Abbots Leigh, Bristol (Head Office – opportunity for hybrid working)
Salary: Annual Salary – up to £26,900 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

Freeways is looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR Administrator to be a key part of our HR team. This role is key to our success by acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries across Freeways and providing administrative support for all processes throughout the employee life-cycle. Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • HR administrative processes, such as starters, leavers, contractual changes, timesheet processing, training, recruitment, and HR database management.
  • Acting as first point of contact for general HR queries, including incoming emails/calls both internal and external, and liaising with employees, candidates, trainers, and other third parties.
  • Recruitment compliance; processing pre-employment checks such as right to work and DBS.
  • Assisting with reporting on management information, such as absence, turnover, recruitment, employee relations, training, and development.
  • Contributing to and supporting the general work of the HR team.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data protection of staff information.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant employment legislation.
  • Supporting HR projects and initiatives.

About You

  • You will have a good working knowledge and proven experience of HR processes and administration as outlined above.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, meticulous accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • There are some tight deadlines in this role so being able to deal positively with pressure and being well organised are essential.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Word and Excel) with the ability to learn and use new systems.
  • You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
