People Services Administrator
Manchester, Permanent, Hybrid, £35,000 - £40,000 with fantastic benefits.
We’re working with a well-established organisation in Manchester that is looking for a People Services Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong HR administration and Shared Services experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service to employees and managers.
As People Services Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of the People function, ensuring employees receive an efficient, responsive and customer-focused service throughout the employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting key HR processes and ensuring the smooth running of the payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a high-quality People Services/HR administration service across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, primarily through Workday.
- Supporting and administering HR processes through Workday, ensuring data is accurate and systems are kept up to date.
- Preparing contracts, letters and other employment documentation.
- Supporting onboarding, contractual changes, promotions, transfers and leavers.
- Responding to employee and manager queries, providing accurate and timely information and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
- Working closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes.
- Producing HR reports and providing accurate People data and insights.
- Ensuring HR processes and documentation remain compliant with employment legislation and company policies.
- Identifying opportunities to improve people processes, systems and the overall employee experience.
- Supporting wider people projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within a People Services, HR Operations, HR Shared Services or HR Administration environment.
- Hands-on experience using Workday is highly desirable and ideally essential.
- Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle and UK employment practices.
- Experience maintaining accurate employee data and records within an HRIS.
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with employees and managers at all levels.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.
- A proactive approach, with a genuine interest in improving processes and delivering an excellent employee experience.
- CIPD qualification or working towards this would be advantageous.
