HR ADMINISTRATOR

Initial 3-month contract
£130 per day via Umbrella
Hybrid working – Minimum 2 days per week onsite in Romsey
BPSS clearance required (SC clearance desirable but not essential)

WHO WE ARE?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK technology and engineering organisation delivering innovative solutions across defence, national security and complex engineering sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an organised and proactive HR Administrator to support their People team across a broad range of HR, recruitment and organisational activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play a key role in ensuring HR operations, recruitment administration and organisational initiatives run smoothly.

WHAT WILL THE HR ADMINISTRATOR BE DOING?

As the HR Administrator, you'll provide administrative support across the People function, helping to coordinate meetings, recruitment activity, training, internal communications and organisational events.

Working closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders across the business, you'll support new starters, maintain key documentation and trackers, coordinate training activities and ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently and accurately.

THE HR ADMINISTRATOR SHOULD HAVE…

  • Previous experience within an HR Administration, Recruitment Administration, People Administration or Office Administration role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience coordinating meetings, diaries and administrative activities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience maintaining spreadsheets, trackers and databases
  • A proactive and flexible approach with excellent customer service skills
  • Experience supporting recruitment or HR processes would be advantageous

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organise internal and external meetings and coordinate diaries
  • Maintain databases, trackers and HR administration records
  • Update key intranet pages and internal communication screens
  • Support recruitment events, exhibitions, careers fairs and internal workshops
  • Coordinate organisational transformation activities, training sessions and conferences
  • Support onboarding activities for new starters and early careers programmes
  • Process staff training requests and maintain training records
  • Update recruitment trackers and provide general recruitment administration support
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and business documentation
  • Support the wider People team with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Ensure HR documentation and records remain accurate and up to date
  • Provide administrative support across wider business initiatives as required
  • Always work in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Varied role with exposure across HR, recruitment and organisational projects
