HR Advisor

We are recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a successful distribution business in Wednesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR generalist who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, managing complex employee relations matters, and driving high standards across HR operations.

Working closely with the HR Manager, you will take end-to-end responsibility for HR activity within your designated business area, providing practical, commercially focused HR support while ensuring compliance and consistency across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR contact for your business area, building strong relationships with managers and key stakeholders
  • Manage a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, capability and performance issues
  • Provide legally compliant and commercially focused HR advice and guidance
  • Oversee HR operational processes, ensuring employee lifecycle activities are completed accurately and on time
  • Support managers through coaching and guidance to improve people management capability
  • Contribute to HR projects, change initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Analyse HR data and trends to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Support the implementation and development of HR policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification as a minimum (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor position
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience independently managing employee relations casework
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working alongside HR Operations or shared service functions would be advantageous
