Equifind HR Generalist Opportunity
Equifind is partnering with a real estate firm with ambition, and our People team is growing to match it. You'll work closely with the Head of HR and get stuck into most of what HR does day to day: answering employee queries, running onboarding, supporting payroll, helping managers through tricky conversations, and pulling together reports when leadership needs them. Some weeks that's calm and predictable. Other weeks you're juggling three things at once. Either way, you'll have someone to lean on and real room to grow into the role.
We ask for 4 days a week in the office. This job works better when people can grab you at your desk, and honestly, most of it is easier to do well when you're around the team in person.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Answer HR questions first, onboard new starters, sort out contracts and right-to-work checks, keep records up to date, and handle absence and leave requests properly. Nothing glamorous, but it matters, and people notice when it's done well.
- Support payroll by working with our external payroll provider to make sure people are paid correctly and on time. Manage our benefits providers and answer the questions that come up around them.
- Guide managers through probation issues, performance concerns and absence cases, the everyday stuff that needs a level head. Know what you can handle yourself and when to loop in the Head of HR.
- Keep our policies current with UK and US employment law, working alongside the Head of HR rather than solo.
- Support audits when they come around and handle employee data the way we should.
- Coordinate recruitment for assigned roles – scheduling interviews, keeping candidates in the loop, and helping with offers – rather than owning the whole hiring function.
- Keep our HR systems accurate and pull together people metrics when leadership wants a view of what's going on. Flag it when you spot a process that could be smoother.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
