HR Advisor - Manufacturing!

Newport | Full-Time | Onsite

£35,000 + Benefits + Progression and Development

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We are a leading manufacturing business operating a busy 24/7 production environment. We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our HR team and provide support across a wide range of employee relations and HR activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, generalist HR role and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

The Role

As HR Advisor, you will provide practical HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability matters.
  • Supporting managers through investigations, hearings and formal processes.
  • Monitoring and analysing absence trends and supporting effective absence management.
  • Assisting with long-term sickness cases in partnership with Occupational Health and management teams.
  • Providing advice on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and maintaining a visible presence across the site.
  • Producing HR reports and maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
  • Confident managing a wide range of employee relations cases.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Positive, approachable and able to work independently using their own initiative.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or another operational environment is highly desirable. Experience working with a unionised workforce and a CIPD qualification (or working towards one) would be advantageous.

Working Hours

This role is based on-site in Newport. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
