Nando’s People Advisor

Nando’s is on a journey to Create Lasting Happiness, making a difference to the lives of our People, our customers, and the communities we work in. Originally started in Johannesburg, South Africa, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for everyone involved in Nando’s: from our employees, communities, founders, and suppliers, but most importantly, our customers.

We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused People Advisor to join our team and provide expert, practical support across the full colleague journey — from recruitment and onboarding through to development, pay, benefits and offboarding.

This is a varied role at the heart of our People team. You’ll be a key point of contact for colleagues and managers, providing clear guidance, resolving people queries and helping ensure our people processes run smoothly, accurately and compliantly.

A day in the life...

  • Provide responsive, high-quality advice and support to colleagues and managers across a wide range of people queries.
  • Deliver an effective People Help Desk, providing guidance on policies, processes, systems and best practice.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, reboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring they are efficient, accurate and legally compliant.
  • Maintain accurate, secure and confidential colleague and candidate records in line with data protection requirements.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration, helping ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
  • Provide day-to-day support with employee relations queries, helping managers understand and apply people policies and processes.
  • Support learning and development administration and maintain accurate training records.
  • Prepare people reports and provide accurate information from people systems.
  • Support compliance activities, audits and people-related risk management.
  • Create and maintain clear, helpful People guidance so colleagues can easily find the information they need.
  • Support People projects, events and initiatives as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the People team and wider business to resolve issues and deliver great colleague experiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
