Division Info
Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, our newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services to the major players in the landing gear industry. Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small to medium sized landing gear systems.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Advisor provides HR support and professional guidance to the functional management team and employees at the Runcorn site. The HRA supports the HRD with all people activities on site including those outlined below.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, advise and coach operational and functional managers on all matters relating to the employee life cycle.
- Monitor and oversee the absence management process, ensuring company procedures are followed, offering guidance on long-term sickness issues and flagging trends as and when required.
- Assist in the management of Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures, attending meetings and supporting managers and employees alike.
- Support and cover for the HR Administrator when required with maintenance of the HRIS system and any required paper-based HR documentation including ensuring starters/leavers/changes are captured accurately and in a timely manner to produce the payroll report.
- Utilise the HR system to compile people metrics for the UK including turnover, absence and recruitment.
- Responsible for the onboarding and induction activities specific to Runcorn, providing a welcoming transition into the business for all new starters.
- Contribute to a positive employee relations climate, attendance at union meetings to record accurate minutes and actions, facilitate effective and constructive communication across the site.
- Ensure consistent application and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and people management standards across the site, supporting compliance, best practice, and organizational objectives.
- Ad Hoc projects as business needs dictate.

Skills & Qualifications
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent HR experience) with previous experience in an HR Advisor/generalist HR role.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and experience supporting employee relations matters, including grievance, disciplinary, and absence management.
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office tools, with strong capability in producing and analysing HR reports and workforce metrics.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to effectively balance multiple priorities while ensuring confidentiality at all times.
