Job Title: HR Advisor

Our client is an established international organisation with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. They are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team on an initial fixed term contract, providing comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will act as a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing practical advice and support across HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, payroll, benefits, performance management and HR projects.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities within an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment practices.
  • Support the annual performance management, salary review and bonus processes.
  • Prepare salary benchmarking information and HR management reports.
  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, offers and pre-employment checks.
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and other HR correspondence.
  • Coordinate new starter inductions and probation reviews.
  • Support employee relations processes and associated documentation.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook.
  • Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and advise the Head of HR accordingly.
  • Support learning and development activities, training programmes and training providers.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives across the UK and Europe.
  • Work closely with local HR contacts across international offices.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to HR colleagues where required.
  • Work with HRIS teams to support system improvements and implementation.
  • Produce HR reports, metrics and management information.
  • Ensure confidential and sensitive employee information is handled appropriately.

About You

We are looking for an HR professional who is comfortable working across a broad generalist remit and can build strong relationships with employees, managers and senior stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • 2–3+ years' experience working as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR generalist role.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
  • Experience of payroll processes and calculations.
  • Experience working with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Good knowledge of HR policies, procedures and UK employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
