Role Description
The Human Resources Advisor role is a maternity cover position based in Swadlincote. The role involves providing day-to-day HR advisory support to managers and team members, including guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Typical responsibilities include:
- Managing employee relations cases
- Supporting performance and absence management
- Advising on recruitment, onboarding, and contractual changes

The Human Resources Advisor will help ensure compliance with labor and employment legislation, maintain accurate HR records, and contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with HR colleagues and line managers is key to delivering a consistent, fair, and supportive HR service across the organization.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience providing advisory support to managers and team members.
- Knowledge of HR Policies and procedures, including the ability to develop, interpret, and apply them consistently.
- Working understanding of Labor and Employment Law, with practical experience ensuring compliance in employee-related decisions.
- Proven experience in Employee Relations, including handling grievances, disciplinaries, investigations, and performance issues.
- Relevant HR qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or equivalent) or substantial experience in a similar HR advisory role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office tools; experience in manufacturing or regulated environments is an advantage.
