Location: West Midlands
Salary: Up to £36,000
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term
Working Pattern: Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a successful and growing organisation on a 12-month contract as an HR Advisor. Working as part of an established People team, you'll play an important role in supporting HR compliance and governance across the organisation, whilst providing guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on key compliance matters. The role will also include supporting and developing junior members of the HR team, alongside contributing to process improvements and ensuring a high standard of HR service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of HR compliance and governance activities, ensuring processes are completed accurately and in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support across a range of HR compliance areas, including Right to Work, immigration and sponsorship, and wider employment compliance.
  • Support and guide junior members of the HR team, sharing knowledge and helping to develop capability across HR Operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance monitoring, audits and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of HR processes, procedures and controls to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, providing practical advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

  • Previous experience within HR Operations, HR Advisory or a similar role with a strong focus on compliance.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience in areas such as Right to Work, immigration, sponsorship or wider HR compliance.
  • Experience of supporting, coaching or guiding junior colleagues would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable.
