Salary: £36,438 per annum (Scale Point 31)
Location: Peterborough (1 day a week WFH), with travel across Inspire Education Group sites
Hours: 37 hours per week, full year
Contract: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for a People professional who is passionate about employee relations, staff wellbeing, organisational development and delivering an outstanding employee experience. You will play a key role in helping us become an Exceptional Employer, supporting a Thriving Workforce and driving People Services Excellence across the Group.

About the Role

As a trusted adviser to managers and leaders, you will provide professional employee relations advice and practical support across a broad range of people matters. You'll work closely with managers to build capability, resolve issues early, promote positive employee relations and support the delivery of key People Plan priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on employee relations matters including attendance, wellbeing, performance, capability, conduct and grievance issues.
  • Supporting managers to build high-performing, engaged and inclusive teams.
  • Contributing to wellbeing, engagement, recognition and staff experience initiatives.
  • Using workforce data and insights to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
  • Supporting organisational change, policy development and People Services projects.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with managers, colleagues and trade union representatives.
  • Supporting key employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, probation, family leave, flexible working and other employment processes.

About You

We're looking for a confident and credible People/HR professional who can build strong relationships, provide pragmatic advice and influence positive outcomes.

You will have:

  • Experience of providing People Services advice in a complex organisation.
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and a sound understanding of UK employment law.
  • Experience of coaching and supporting managers.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it), or equivalent experience.

Experience within Further Education, education or another large multi-stakeholder environment would be advantageous.
