Job Title: People & Culture Advisor

An international professional services firm is seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join its HR team on a 9 month fixed-term basis. This is a broad generalist role supporting a number of business areas across the UK, working closely with HR Business Partners, specialist HR teams and a centralised people operations function.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of HR activities, partnering with stakeholders at all levels and contributing to both operational delivery and people-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate employee lifecycle activity, including onboarding, departures, parental leave, secondments and internal transfers.
  • Ensure all people processes are completed accurately, approvals are obtained, and stakeholders are kept informed of key employment changes.
  • Support the delivery of HR updates, people initiatives and team communications.
  • Respond to HR-related queries from employees, managers and senior stakeholders, providing practical advice and guidance.
  • Produce and analyse HR data and reporting to support business decisions and identify trends.
  • Review employment-related documentation and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and support the delivery of action plans.
  • Support annual HR cycles including performance reviews, talent reviews and salary review processes.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement activities across the people function.
  • Work with early careers and talent teams to support trainee and graduate development processes.
  • Manage sickness absence cases and occupational health referrals, supporting successful return-to-work outcomes.
  • Take notes for employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and capability meetings, with opportunities to gain broader ER case management experience.
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in line with employment legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
