Calling all Hospitality & Retail People Managers, HR Managers and ER specialists 👋
If you love employee relations, coaching managers, solving people problems and want to move into a fully HR-focused role (without juggling rotas, stock takes or weekend shifts), this could be the career move you've been waiting for.
I'm partnering with a leading professional services business to support the growth of their HR Advisory team. This is a brilliant opportunity for people-focused professionals from fast-paced hospitality or retail environments who want to specialise in HR and employment law while still working at pace.
Day to Day
- Managing a varied caseload of ER matters (from quick advice queries to complex cases end-to-end)
- Advising managers and business owners via phone and email
- Coaching clients through best practice, legally compliant and commercial options
- Building trusted relationships with clients through empathy, clarity and confidence
- Supporting with document reviews, policy guidance and ad-hoc letters
- Keeping advice accurate, compliant and clearly recorded
- Working to clear KPIs (quality-focused, not sales-driven)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
