HR Advisor
Location: Marlow – 3 days office, 2 home
Salary: £48000 + 10% Bonus

About the Job
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this is a broad HR Advisor position with a particular emphasis on employee relations. You will be a key point of contact for managers across the organisation, providing practical advice on complex people matters and helping ensure employment legislation, internal policies and good HR practice are applied consistently.
Alongside managing your own ER caseload, you will coach managers, contribute to HR projects and policy development, and use people data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Duties will include:
- Providing managers with practical guidance across employee relations and UK employment law matters
- Managing complex ER cases from initial enquiry through to resolution, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability and absence matters
- Advising on flexible working, workplace disputes and other sensitive employee issues
- Coaching managers to improve confidence and consistency when dealing with people matters
- Creating and delivering management training, guidance materials and practical HR resources
- Reviewing HR policies, processes and documentation to ensure they remain effective and compliant
- Keeping abreast of employment law developments and identifying any resulting changes required within the organisation
- Preparing formal HR documentation relating to investigations, outcomes, consultations and other employment matters
- Supporting DSARs, legal enquiries, settlement agreements and employment tribunal-related activity when required
- Assisting with statutory people reporting, including Gender Pay Gap reporting
- Working with Occupational Health providers, referencing agencies and other external partners
- Maintaining accurate and confidential case records in line with GDPR requirements
- Responding to enquiries received through the HR inbox and escalating issues where appropriate
- Reviewing employee relations data to identify recurring themes, risks and areas for improvement
- Managing the leaver process, including exit interviews and analysis of employee feedback
- Supporting restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers and consultation programmes
- Contributing to employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and wider HR projects
- Helping improve HR systems, processes and ways of working
- Building effective relationships with managers and stakeholders throughout the organisation
- Supporting wider people, wellbeing and health and safety initiatives

About the Successful Applicant

You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified, or possess equivalent experience, with around four to five years' experience in an HR Advisor or ER-focused position. You will have strong UK employment law knowledge and experience handling complex casework. Confident communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside excellent organisation, discretion and emotional intelligence. HRIS experience, ideally Workday, and experience delivering training would be advantageous.

The role is primarily office based in Marlow, with a non-contractual option to work from home for up to two days per week where business requirements allow. Some occasional travel may also be required.
