Part-Time HR Advisor, Glasgow
13 months FTC, 22-24 hours per week
£36,000-£50,000 (FTE)

HR Recruit are working with an organisation in the engineering sector to recruit an experienced HR Advisor for a maternity cover. Reporting into the MD, this is a hands-on, operational HR role supporting employees and line managers across the full employee lifecycle. There is support from an external HR Consultancy for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and line managers, acting as a first point of contact for HR queries.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding activities, including adverts, offers, pre-employment checks and new starter arrangements.
- Support managers with probation, absence, performance and other routine employee relations matters.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR systems and documentation.
- Prepare HR letters, contracts, terms and conditions and other HR correspondence.
- Support annual pay reviews, bonus administration and HR benchmarking.
- Prepare HR reports and information for senior management.
- Support the smooth running of day-to-day HR processes and other reasonable HR activities as required.

Person Specification
- At least 3 years previous HR experience.
- Good working knowledge of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
- Strong HR administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Confident using HR systems (Bamboo) and Microsoft Excel.
This role will suit an experienced HR Advisor or HR Manager. In return you will receive a salary of between £36,000-£50,000 (FTE). There are 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rated for part time hours) with flexible start and finish times.
