HR Advisor – Food Manufacturing
Location: Leicester
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am–5:00pm
The Opportunity
Our FMCG client is looking to appoint a HR Advisor to join their busy manufacturing site in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a fast-paced and growing business, providing a broad range of generalist HR and Employee Relations support to site management and the wider HR team.
You’ll play an important role in supporting the employee lifecycle, driving engagement, and helping to build a positive and high-performing site culture.
The Role
As HR Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Working in partnership with labour providers to review and drive performance against key KPIs.
- Supporting the onboarding of new colleagues and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Managing and monitoring absence, including supporting managers with absence meetings and processes.
- Maintaining and reporting on HR KPIs.
- Providing accurate and effective HR administration.
- Advising managers and colleagues on a range of HR matters, including maternity, paternity, risk assessments, and disciplinary procedures.
- Providing guidance and support on Employee Relations matters.
- Identifying opportunities to engage with the local community and promote the business as an employer of choice.
- Supporting site culture, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to wider HR projects and initiatives as required.

The Candidate
We’re looking for an HR professional who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or generalist HR role within a fast-paced environment, ideally manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar operational setting.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience dealing with a range of Employee Relations matters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with managers, colleagues, and external partners.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to take on new tasks and projects.
- The ability to work effectively as part of both an HR team and wider onsite management team.
