HR Advisor - Based near to Sandy, Bedfordshire

This role is available for an immediate start, please note this is a temp to perm contract, meaning the first 3 months you will be temporarily employed with the view to switch to permanent after this period.

Join an established equipment business near Sandy as an HR Advisor, earning up to £40,000 with a company vehicle and progression. Our client is an established business operating across the UK equipment sector, offering a supportive environment and the opportunity to make a real difference. With exciting Group projects underway, they need a proactive HR Advisor who can provide immediate support and help enhance their people processes.

Key Benefits of the HR Advisor:

  • Salary up to £40,000 per annum.
  • Company vehicle.
  • Three-month temporary contract with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position if successful.
  • Immediate start available.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, with three days reserved for the Christmas closure.
  • Pension with 4% matched employer and employee contributions after three months’ service.

  • Monday to Friday, with flexibility around working 37.5 or 40 hours per week.
  • Hybrid working of up to one day per week, subject to agreement.

About the Role:

As an HR Advisor, you will provide hands-on generalist HR support, helping managers navigate employee matters while delivering key Group projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising and supporting managers on day-to-day HR matters and employee relations.
  • Supporting absence management, taking meeting minutes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Drafting and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
  • Supporting recruitment, training records and employee development.
  • Reviewing existing wellbeing benefits and identifying opportunities to enhance the offering.
  • Contributing to wider HR projects and ensuring processes remain effective and compliant.

This is a varied, hands-on opportunity for an HR Advisor who enjoys getting stuck in and making an immediate impact.

About You:

To succeed as an HR Advisor, you will have:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification as a minimum; Level 5 is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Confidence advising managers on employee relations and absence management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to start immediately and contribute from day one.

To be successful in this role, you may have worked as a: Human Resources Advisor, HR Officer, HR Advisor, Human Resources Officer, HR Generalist, People Advisor, People and Culture Advisor, Employee Relations Advisor, HR Consultant.
