Experienced HR & Employee Relations Advisor
An international professional services firm is looking for an experienced HR & Employee Relations Advisor, based in Birmingham.
You will manage a varied ER caseload, including complex performance, capability, disciplinary, grievance, appeal, and restructuring matters. You will advise managers and partners, balancing employment law, risk, and commercial considerations, while producing clear case documentation and maintaining a consistent approach.
The role will include:
- Managing ER cases from initial advice through to resolution
- Coaching managers and junior HR colleagues
- Using ER data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Supporting organizational change and wider people projects
- Improving HR policies, processes, and ways of working

We are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience of complex ER case management
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Confidence advising and constructively challenging senior stakeholders
- Clear written communication and strong attention to detail
- Experience in a law firm or regulated environment would be useful, but is not essential
This is a good opportunity for an HR or ER specialist who enjoys hands-on casework and wants to contribute to broader people initiatives within a professional services environment.
