An established global aerospace engineering business is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join them!

Working closely with the HR Manager and HR Business Partner, you will provide proactive, hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a true generalist position, combining employee relations, recruitment, HR administration, payroll coordination and project work. You'll act as a trusted advisor to managers, maintaining a strong presence on the shop floor while ensuring HR processes are delivered consistently, fairly and in line with UK employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert advice and coaching to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management cases, managing investigations through to final written warning level
  • Supporting recruitment activities including candidate screening, interview coordination, offers and employment contracts
  • Coordinating HR administration including payroll inputs, overtime, starters, leavers and maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Supporting the HR Business Partner and HR Manager with organisational change, engagement initiatives, talent planning and wider HR projects
  • Producing HR reports, analysing people data and identifying trends to support business decision making and continuous improvement
  • Acting as a visible HR presence across the manufacturing facility, building strong relationships with managers and employees while ensuring HR policies and processes are applied consistently

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a true HR Generalist role within an engineering, manufacturing, factory, distribution or logistics environment
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience), with support available to complete CIPD Level 7
  • Strong employee relations experience with sound investigation skills and the ability to manage cases through to final written warning
  • Experience managing absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes
  • Previous recruitment experience including candidate screening and employment contract administration
  • Experience supporting payroll administration including overtime, starters and leavers
  • Strong HR systems experience with the ability to analyse HR data and produce reports
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and GDPR
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for building relationships and maintaining a strong shop floor presence
