TDK is a supplier to some of the most diverse, technology based and original equipment manufacturers worldwide including global organisations within the Industrial, Medical and Test & Measurement markets.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our HR Department as a Human Resources Advisor. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive generalist HR support to team members at all levels of the organisation, offer guidance to leaders and key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
By driving employee engagement through effective internal communication and enhancing our profile within the local community, the successful applicant will help position us as an Employer of Choice.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR administration, including maintaining the HR information system, processing employee changes, producing reports and letters, monitoring reminders, and supporting employee and payroll documentation.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities by preparing job descriptions and advertisements, liaising with managers and agencies, completing right-to-work checks, preparing employment documentation and ensuring new starters are fully prepared for their first day.
- Support employee relations, sickness absence and occupational health processes by assisting with investigations and absence meetings, preparing appropriate documentation, identifying when referrals are required and following up on recommendations.
- Plan and deliver internal and external communications activities in line with TDK corporate guidelines, ensuring consistent and accurate use of company branding, logos and promotional materials.
- Develop and maintain the company’s employer brand by promoting TDK-Lambda UK within the local community and identifying opportunities to become an employer of choice.
- Manage employee benefit platforms, identify opportunities to enhance the benefits offering and communicate available benefits to employees.
- Create, schedule and maintain engaging content across relevant social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, as well as the company intranet.
- Organise and support internal and external events, open days, STEM activities and early careers initiatives, coordinating venues, equipment, attendees, agendas, presentations and suppliers.
- Identify local sponsorship, community engagement and promotional opportunities, while planning activities and managing associated budgets and expenditure.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and safe working environment by supporting internal committees, delivering social media training, overseeing 5S activities, complying with GDPR and health and safety requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

- CIPD Level 5 (desirable) or studying towards (essential), or demonstratable experience
- Experience in a similar role (essential)
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry (desirable)
- Excellent communication and Microsoft office skills
- Fully proficient and well established (professionally) on all Social Media platforms
Working Week
- 37.5 hours per week
- Mon to Thu 7.30 - 16.30 (45-minute lunchbreak)
- Fri 7.30 – 12.00 – Flexitime would be applicable
Salary
- Up to £35k dependent on experience.
