About the Role
My client, a leading global law firm well-known for their private client work, is seeking a HR Advisor to join their wider business partnering team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and ambitious HR professional to join a high-performing HR team within a prestigious international professional services environment. Working closely with HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders, you will provide generalist HR support across both fee-earning and business services populations, helping to deliver a first-class people service across the firm.
This role offers broad exposure across the employee lifecycle and would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, managing employee relations matters, supporting strategic people initiatives, and working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and employees across a variety of business areas.
- Advising on employee relations matters, including performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Supporting HR Business Partners in the delivery of people strategies and business-focused HR solutions.
- Playing a key role in annual HR processes including performance reviews, promotions, salary reviews, and bonus cycles.
- Supporting talent and succession planning activities through the preparation and analysis of people data and talent information.
- Managing flexible working requests and supporting managers through the associated processes.
- Acting as a key point of contact for employees going on family-related leave, ensuring a positive and supportive employee experience.
- Monitoring absence levels and supporting both short and long-term sickness cases, including occupational health referrals where appropriate.
- Managing probation review processes and providing guidance to managers on outcomes and next steps.
- Conducting exit interviews and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Assisting with immigration-related administration and compliance activities.
- Drafting HR documentation, correspondence, contractual amendments, and policy-related communications.
- Producing and reviewing HR reports and management information to support decision making.
- Contributing to wider HR projects, process improvements, and policy development initiatives.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR Advisor who is comfortable operating within a professional services environment and partnering with stakeholders at all levels. You will possess:
- Previous experience in a HR Advisor position.
- Strong employee relations experience and a sound understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience supporting managers through a wide range of HR matters and people processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The confidence and credibility to influence, challenge, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how HR can support business objectives.
- Strong systems skills and confidence working with HR data and reporting.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience.
