HR Advisor - Peterborough | Full-Time | Up to £40,000
We’re delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded, established professional services organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to support one of their busy divisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys a broad generalist role and is looking to join a professional, corporate environment where they can make an impact from the outset.
Working within a large and diverse division, you’ll be part of an established HR function supporting employees and managers across a varied operational environment.
What You’ll Be Doing as HR Advisor
- Providing proactive, practical HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the division
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, probation, and flexible working matters
- Building strong relationships with your own client group, coaching managers, and supporting them with day-to-day people challenges
- Supporting the HR Business Partner with complex ER cases, organisational change, restructures, and wider divisional priorities
- Working closely with HR Shared Services and Recruitment to ensure a high-quality, consistent service across the employee lifecycle
- Contributing to broader people activity including reward, appraisals, promotions, talent, succession planning, and employee wellbeing
- Getting involved in HR projects and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working

What We’re Looking For – HR Advisor
- Must have previous experience working at HR Advisor level within a generalist HR role
- Strong hands-on employee relations experience with the confidence to manage cases independently
- Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Confident advising and influencing managers across a varied stakeholder population
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Commercially aware with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Comfortable working within a professional, corporate environment whilst supporting a diverse operational client group
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification would be advantageous
This role would particularly suit an HR Advisor who enjoys being close to the business and wants a position where they can combine hands-on operational HR with exposure to broader projects and people initiatives.
