A leading international professional services firm is seeking an HR Advisor to join its established HR function. Supporting a diverse employee population, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders, providing practical, commercially focused people advice across a broad range of HR matters.
Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Advisory
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Manage a range of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance concerns, investigations and redundancy processes.
- Support managers in resolving people issues effectively and consistently.
- Escalate complex matters where appropriate and work closely with senior HR colleagues on sensitive cases.

Business Partnering Support
- Partner with HR Business Partners to deliver people solutions that support business objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of assigned business areas and provide proactive HR support.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for HR-related queries.

Projects & People Programmes
- Support delivery of key annual HR activities including performance reviews, salary review processes, workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with HR projects and change programmes across the wider people function.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.
- Contribute ideas that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor HR metrics and identify trends, risks and areas for improvement.
- Support reporting requirements and maintain accurate people data.
- Keep up to date with employment law developments and emerging HR best practice.
- Share knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider HR team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to build credibility with managers and employees across the business.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative and solution-focused approach.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- An interest in continuous improvement and developing their HR expertise.
