Artis HR are supporting with the recruitment of a People Advisor on a 6-month fixed term contract.

This is a broad, hands-on HR position offering plenty of variety across the employee lifecycle. You’ll work closely with managers and the wider HR team, providing practical advice and support across day-to-day people matters.

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in everything from employee relations and performance management through to onboarding, L&D and wider people projects. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys being involved, building strong relationships and getting things moving.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Supporting managers with employee relations matters including performance, conduct, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Assisting with investigations and hearings
  • Supporting managers throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Overseeing probation processes and supporting salary reviews
  • Managing and improving onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Supporting recruitment activity when required
  • Preparing HR reports and maintaining accurate people data
  • Supporting the annual appraisal process
  • Providing information for monthly payroll
  • Managing and responding to HR queries through the HR inbox
  • Supporting learning and development activity and training coordination
  • Getting involved in employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Supporting wider HR projects as required

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a generalist HR role who is confident providing advice to managers and employees.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working at HR Advisor or similar level
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge across generalist HR and employee relations
  • Confidence dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem solving
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work collaboratively with others

What's on offer?

  • £40,000 - £45,000
  • 6-month FTC
  • Hybrid working, with 2 days on site and 3 days from home
