HR Advisor – Food Manufacturing
Hull | £35,000
This is a bit different to your standard HR Advisor role.
You’ll be joining a newly formed HR team with a pretty straightforward objective: raise the profile of HR across the business and become genuine partners to managers — rather than the people who only get called when something has gone wrong.
It’s a busy manufacturing site, so there’ll be plenty to get involved in.
What you'll be doing
- Advising managers on HR and employment law
- Managing investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
- Coaching managers on people management
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding
- Reviewing and improving HR policies
- Assisting with payroll and HR administration
- Supporting audits and compliance
- Helping build a positive, people-focused culture across the site

What are they looking for?
- Someone who already has HR Advisor or strong generalist HR experience and is comfortable getting involved rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Solid employee relations experience
- Good knowledge of UK employment law
- CIPD Level 3 or 5, or working towards it
- Manufacturing experience would be a big plus
- The confidence to influence managers and have the difficult conversations when needed
