HR Advisor | Manufacturing | £32,000

Elevation Recruitment Group’s Specialist HR team are working with a successful manufacturing business to recruit an HR Advisor to join their team in this full time permanent role.

This is a broad, hands-on HR role with plenty of variety. You’ll work closely with managers and employees across the business, supporting everything from recruitment and onboarding through to training, employee development and day-to-day HR activity.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working in an operational environment and likes being involved in the detail. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction or another similar environment would be useful.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing recruitment activity from vacancy through to appointment, working with managers and external recruitment partners
  • Coordinating the onboarding process, including references, pre-employment checks, paperwork and inductions
  • Managing relationships with recruitment agencies and supporting the business with external recruitment activity
  • Supporting training and development activity, including mandatory training and apprenticeships
  • Keeping on top of probation reviews and employee development processes, working with managers to make sure these are completed on time
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR information, ensuring data is kept up to date and handled confidentially
  • Producing HR reports and information to support managers with people-related decisions
  • Getting involved in HR projects and looking for ways to improve processes and the employee experience
  • Providing day-to-day support to managers and employees across a range of HR matters

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a generalist HR role who is comfortable working in a busy, operational environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience across recruitment, onboarding and wider employee lifecycle activity
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with managers and employees at different levels
  • Experience using HR systems and handling employee data
  • CIPD qualification, or be working towards one, would be advantageous
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering or construction would be particularly useful, but we’d also be interested in candidates from other operational environments.
