HR Advisor Vacancy

Location: Cottenham, Cambridge
Position Type: Full Time, Office Based
Salary: £35,000–£40,000

HR Recruit is working with an expanding organisation to recruit an experienced HR professional to join a growing team. The purpose of the role is to provide HR advice and guidance to employees within our organisation. Reporting into the People Director, there is an opportunity to progress and grow within the role and the organisation.

Role Responsibilities

  • Providing expert HR advice and guidance across the full spectrum of employee relations (ER) matters, including dismissals, grievances, and appeals, while proactively and effectively managing ER cases from start to resolution.
  • Review and renewal of all HR Policies and procedures, updating and amending where necessary in line with current changes.
  • Managing and/or supporting recruitment related activities and other HR processes.
  • Provide advice and support to line managers and employees regarding any change in employment legislation.
  • Supporting occasional and ad hoc projects, e.g. progressing L&D within the department and a focus on reward and recognition.

Person Specification

  • Three or more years’ HR experience within an advisory role having had significant exposure to complex ER issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, solid experience in the application of company policies and procedures.
  • Confident to communicate with managers and business owners at all levels, with a style that is clear, engaging, coaching, and collaborative.
  • A committed team player who is driven to continuously improve and to encourage and support colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly to deadlines.

In return, the role offers a salary of £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience, and the opportunity to progress and grow within the organisation.
