An Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced HR Professional
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a growing organisation on an urgent temporary basis. This role will have a strong focus on employee relations, supporting managers with a varied and high-volume caseload across the business.
This is a temporary role lasting around 5/6 weeks, with the potential for extension, and offers excellent flexibility around both working hours and location.
The Role
Working as part of a busy HR team, you will provide hands-on support across a wide range of employee relations matters and wider HR activities, including:
- Managing a high volume of employee relations casework from initial query through to resolution
- Advising and coaching managers on UK employment law, internal policies and HR best practice
- Managing disciplinary and grievance cases, including supporting investigations and formal meetings
- Supporting managers with performance and capability matters
- Managing short and long-term absence cases and advising on appropriate next steps
- Providing guidance on a range of day-to-day employee relations queries
- Producing and reviewing relevant ER documentation and correspondence
- Supporting wider HR projects and organisational change activity where required
- Providing additional support around TUPE activity where needed

This is a hands-on role where you will be trusted to take ownership of your own caseload, provide pragmatic advice to managers and confidently manage a variety of employee relations matters.
About You
- Previous experience working as an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, Employee Relations Advisor or HR Business Partner
- Strong hands-on experience managing employee relations casework
- Confident handling disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability matters
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Comfortable managing a high-volume and varied caseload independently
- Confident advising and coaching managers through employee relations processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment with plenty of variety and autonomy

Hours & Flexibility
The business offers a highly flexible approach to working hours and location. Typical working patterns could include:
- 8:00am – 4:00pm
- 8:30am – 4:30pm
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
Lunch breaks can be taken to suit your preference, whether that's 30 minutes, 45 minutes or an hour.
There is also significant flexibility around home working, with employees welcome to work from home as much as required.
Salary: £38,000–£40,000 DOE FTE
Location: LS15 offices / hybrid working
Start date: Immediate start to last around 5/6 weeks, potential to extend
