HR Assistant, Fully Remote
Permanent, 36 hours per week
£28,000-£30,000 plus excellent pension, 28 days holiday (plus BH)
Only candidates currently living in the UK will be considered, as the role may require occasional travel to sites. Previous HR experience is also essential.
HR Recruit are partnering with a not for profit organisation to recruit an experienced HR Administrator/HR Assistant/HR Coordinator to join a small HR team.
About the Role
The role will assist with day-to-day operational tasks, providing managers and staff with effective administrative support in all aspects of Human Resources. You will provide People generalist support for the full employee lifecycle, as well as support with the end-to-end recruitment cycle. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work as part of a small team, whilst also independently and proactively completing tasks.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with privacy and retention requirements.
- Coordinate onboarding, inductions, probation reviews, and leaver processes.
- Support employment relations casework, including meeting coordination and note-taking.
- Monitor People and recruitment inboxes and respond to queries promptly.
- Prepare People letters, contracts, and other documentation.
- Monitor return-to-work meetings and absence records, escalating issues as required.
- Maintain and develop the HRIS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
- Support HRIS projects, system updates, and ongoing development.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, including job descriptions, adverts, interviews, and candidate shortlisting.
- Coordinate onboarding, inductions, and pre-employment checks, including right to work, DBS, and credit checks.
- Support the L&D Lead with training schedules, venues, and the training calendar.
- Maintain accurate training records and assign eLearning modules as required.

Person Specification
- A minimum of 3 years HR experience
- Experience of HR systems and being part of a team to implement a new HR system.
- Proven track record in supporting recruitment campaigns
- Experience of supporting People projects and new People initiatives.
- Flexible with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills able to work with people in a supportive, sensitive, and calm manner managing confidentiality.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to check detailed information, able to critique own work and the work of others.

What We Offer
In return you will receive a salary of between £28,000-£30,000 plus excellent pension and holidays. The role would be suitable for an experienced HR Administrator, HR Assistant, or HR Coordinator.
The salary banding advertised is a guideline, the remuneration offered will be commensurate upon experience.
