Join Our Team as an HR Assistant
Salary Scale 4: £26,824 - £27,254 per annum
Based at CLP Offices, Chelmsford with occasional travel to CLP schools
37 hours per week | 52 weeks per year

Chelmsford Learning Partnership is looking for a motivated HR Assistant to support our thriving schools’ network.
Why This Role?
This isn’t just admin — it’s the beating heart of our HR function. You’ll play a key role in supporting staff across multiple schools, helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment to exit
- Managing HR records, contracts, and compliance checks (DBS, right to work, references)
- Being the first point of contact for staff HR queries
- Keeping data accurate across systems, including the Single Central Register
- Coordinating recruitment processes, onboarding, and probation tracking
- Supporting appraisals, reporting, and HR projects
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with people
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)
- Experience in HR or administration (education sector a bonus)
- A team player who values confidentiality and professionalism
