HR Assistant

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 p/a
Type: Permanent, Full-time

The Role:

As an HR Assistant, you will provide day-to-day administrative support across the employee lifecycle, working closely with colleagues across the business and supporting the wider HR team.

You will help ensure our HR processes run smoothly, our employee records remain accurate and up to date, and our people receive a professional and responsive HR service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR/People team.
• Support the recruitment process, including arranging interviews, preparing documentation and coordinating onboarding.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
• Prepare employment documentation, letters and HR correspondence.
• Support new starter onboarding and employee departures.
• Assist with payroll and benefits administration, working with relevant internal teams and external providers.
• Respond to routine employee HR queries and escalate more complex matters where appropriate.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events and internal communications.
• Support performance review and development processes.
• Help maintain HR policies, procedures and documentation.
• Prepare HR reports and data as required.
• Ensure HR activities are carried out in line with company policies and applicable employment legislation.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
