HR Assistant

Wise May are looking for an HR Assistant to join a collaborative Financial Management Services firm in the City of London. This role is a hands on and varied role, that will require providing professional HR support to all areas of the business, in line with the company and regulatory requirements.

This role is a permanent, full-time position, with a hybrid working structure of 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. The working hours are 9am - 5:30pm.

HR Assistant Duties Include:

  • Own and manage the operational delivery of the employee lifecycle activities are completed accurately, compliantly and within agreed timelines.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for employees and managers on HR policies.
  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end administration and execution of HR processes, ensuring a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate and administer routine employee relations processes.
  • Manage the administration and ongoing operation of employee benefits, acting as the key internal contact for providers and employees.
  • Own the integrity and maintenance of the HRIS (BambooHR) and employee records, ensuring all employment data are accurate, up to date, secure and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce, analyse and maintain HR operational reporting.
  • Manage visa and right-to-work administration, maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring key deadlines, supporting visa-related processes.
  • Provide operational HR support across the business, ensuring people-related records, processes and compliance activities are effectively managed and maintained, including supporting employment status reviews.
  • Assist with Ad-hoc tasks as and when requested by the Senior HR Manager.

HR Assistant Experience Required:

  • Previous experience using BambooHR or a similar HR information system (HRIS).
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism and integrity.
  • The ability to build good working relationships with other members of staff.
  • Proactive and solution-focused, with the confidence to take ownership of HR administrative processes and escalate issues appropriately.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR administration or similar HR operations role.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent).
