HR Assistant

Location: Farnborough (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're working with an established international engineering and technology business that is continuing to invest in its People & Culture function. Due to ongoing growth, they're looking to appoint a proactive HR Assistant to join their UK team based in Farnborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HR administration experience who enjoys a varied role and wants exposure across the full employee lifecycle within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working closely with the HR team, you'll provide first-line support to employees and managers while ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
  • Preparing contracts of employment, letters and other HR documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including starters, leavers and contractual changes.
  • Supporting payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Assisting with onboarding, compliance, training administration and wider HR initiatives.
  • Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently.
  • Providing general HR administration across the employee lifecycle.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous experience within an HR Administration or HR Assistant role.
  • A good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Payroll experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
