Role Details
- Job title: HR Assistant
- Contract: Temporary fixed-term contract, minimum 12 months, covering maternity leave
- Start date: 1 December 2026
- Handover period: December 2026 and January 2027 with the current HR Assistant
- Location: Home-based
- Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 2:00pm, 20 hours per week
About the Role
This is a varied administrative role supporting the Directors and helping to deliver a professional, responsive HR service to our clients. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day HR administration, maintain accurate records via HR portals, prepare documentation and correspondence, and support a range of client-related HR tasks. There will also be an element of social media work, helping to maintain a professional online presence and support business communications.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Directors, including preparing documents, updating records and assisting with client communications.
- Complete HR-related administration on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Draft and format letters, emails, forms and other HR documentation as required.
- Maintain organised electronic records and support the smooth running of HR processes.
- Support basic social media activity, such as preparing posts, sharing updates and helping to maintain a professional online presence.
- Respond to routine queries in a timely, professional and helpful manner.
About You
We are seeking someone who is highly organised, reliable and able to work with discretion. You will be comfortable working independently from home, managing varied administrative tasks and communicating professionally with colleagues and clients.

- Previous administrative experience, ideally within HR or a professional services environment.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
- A professional, discreet and client-focused approach.
- Experience with social media administration would be helpful, but is not essential.
