HR Assistant

Permanent | Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our People team and support the smooth running of HR operations across the business.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines HR administration with employee relations support. Working closely with HR Business Partners, Store Managers and key stakeholders, you will play an important role in delivering an excellent colleague experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities and ensuring processes are delivered accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding, ensuring all HR administration is completed accurately and on time.
  • Managing new starter processes, including right to work checks, contracts and HR system updates.
  • Supporting low-level employee relations cases, including absence management, timekeeping and policy compliance.
  • Providing administrative support for more complex employee relations matters, including note-taking and case management.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from colleagues, managers and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity within the HR system.
  • Managing contract changes, probation administration and family-friendly leave documentation.
  • Supporting payroll processes by ensuring accurate colleague information is provided in a timely manner.
  • Producing HR reports and providing administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
  • Helping to support employee engagement, talent and inclusion activities across the business.
  • Managing the HR inbox and ensuring enquiries are responded to within agreed service levels.
  • Supporting the delivery and promotion of the Moss Way culture across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
