Join The Professional Fundraiser as our People & Culture Coordinator

Our team of fundraisers shape how supporters experience and understand charitable missions, creating meaningful connections and inspiring people to become long-term supporters.

Help us find great people, welcome them with a warm experience, and make sure they feel supported throughout their journey with us. You'll be joining a team dedicated to its people, making every effort to ensure that each member of The Professional Fundraiser feels valued, heard and celebrated.

The Role

Recruitment & Candidate Experience

  • Sourcing & Advertising: Review, and post engaging job descriptions and advertisements across appropriate channels, researching new recruitment resources.
  • Screening & Shortlisting: Review incoming CVs, apply redaction where required, and share candidates with hiring managers.
  • Interviews: Conduct initial screening calls, schedule first-stage interviews, prepare interview rooms, send candidate instructions, and participate in interview panels as needed.
  • Reporting: Track recruitment activity, and showcase the successes and areas for improvement and redirection.

Onboarding

  • Compliance Checks: right-to-work documentation, DBS checks, and reference requests for all successful candidates.
  • Offer & Setup: Issue offer letters and new starter paperwork, set up profiles in Sage HR, notify IT and prepare induction packs.
  • Orientation Support: Organise induction schedules, coordinate accommodation, catering, and room setups, and serve as a supportive point of contact from offer stage through tenure.

Employee Lifecycle & HR Administration

  • Probation & Appraisals: Track and schedule probation reviews, book meetings, record notes, and assist hub managers with performance tracking and appraisal processes.
  • Absence & Leave: Track annual leave and absence records, collate return-to-work documentation, and ensure tracking is consistently updated.
  • Leaver Processing: Handle exit administration, process leavers, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Payroll & Compliance Support: Work closely with Payroll and Finance to submit accurate pay data (starters, leavers, absences).
  • Maintain GDPR-compliant employee files and assist with ISO requirements, data cleansing, and HR audits.

Culture & Engagement

  • Culture Initiatives: Organise celebrations for birthdays, long service milestones, and company achievements (e.g., sending cards, flowers, gift cards).
  • Events & Comms: Support the planning and execution of staff celebration events and co-own key team communications such as "Friday High Fives".
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide hands-on assistance to the People Manager and jump in on wider business needs outside the standard remit when required.

Who you are

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced HR and/or recruitment administration role.
  • Hands-on experience with HR software systems (Sage HR experience or similar HRIS).
  • Proficient with workplace technology and productivity suites, with experience in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) being an advantage.
