About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive, inquisitive and people-focused HR Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and employee experience and is keen on continuously learning and developing their knowledge of people practices. As a key member of the HR team, you will provide first contact essential administrative support across the employee lifecycle, helping to ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and professionally. You will play an important role in delivering an exceptional employee experience and contributing to the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently and accurately
- Support recruitment activities, including application management, coordinating interviews, preparing documentation and assisting with onboarding arrangements.
- Coordinate new starter inductions and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed and processed in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage the HR inbox, responding to routine enquiries and escalating or directing queries as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HR system, ensuring data is recorded and updated correctly.
- Process employee lifecycle changes, including new starters, leavers and amendments to employee records.
- Support the administration of annual appraisal processes.
- Provide administrative support to the wider HR team, assisting with initiatives, projects and day-to-day activities.
- Contribute to the delivery of a positive employee experience by providing professional, responsive, and confidential support to colleagues across the business.
- Demonstrate a curious and inquisitive approach, seeking to understand HR processes, identify improvements, and continuously develop knowledge and skills within

About You
- Previous administrative experience in an office or business environment
- Experience of using an HR system would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling employee data and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and support the wider HR team
- A genuine interest in HR and employee experience
