A leading national charity is seeking an experienced People Partner to join its People & Culture team. This is a true business partnering role, working closely with directors and managers to provide expert HR guidance, support organisational change, and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The successful candidate will support managers across a range of employee relations matters, help drive employee engagement initiatives, and contribute to People Team projects that improve organisational effectiveness and employee experience.
๐น Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with directors and managers to provide proactive HR advice, coaching, and support
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, conduct, and conflict resolution
- Support managers with attendance management, sickness absence cases, and return-to-work interviews
- Promote best practice in people management and support the development of management capability
- Work closely with the Senior Organisational Change Manager to support organisational objectives and change initiatives
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
- Support the delivery of the organisation's Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
- Assist with annual Gender Pay Reporting and associated action plans
- Support the development and implementation of HR systems and related process improvements
- Manage SelectHR and associated People Partnering responsibilities, including Occupational Health records
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
- Ensure employees, volunteers, and trustees are treated fairly and supported appropriately

- Previous experience within a People Partner, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives
- Strong coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives
- Experience using HR systems and supporting process improvement projects
- Ability to build effective relationships with managers and senior leaders
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience desirable
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
