Regional HR Business Partner, Derbyshire Hybrid £50,000 - £56,000 per annum plus company car or car allowance

We’re looking for an experienced Regional HR Business Partner to join a growing utilities organisation, supporting operational teams across Derbyshire and the Midlands.

This is a broad, high-impact HR role combining strategic partnering with hands-on operational HR, giving you the opportunity to influence people strategy while staying close to the day-to-day needs of the business.

The Role

You’ll partner with operational leaders and managers across the region, providing commercially focused HR advice and helping deliver the people agenda across a diverse and operational workforce.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior operational leaders to develop and deliver effective people strategies.
  • Providing trusted advice on employee relations, performance, absence, organisational change and workforce planning.
  • Supporting managers through complex HR issues and ensuring consistent application of policies and employment legislation.
  • Leading and supporting organisational change, restructures and transformation programmes.
  • Using people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Coaching and developing managers to build HR capability across the region.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver regional and organisation-wide people initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
