HR Business Partner

Alfreton
£50,000–£58,000 + 15% bonus + excellent benefits
Full-time, site-based

Distinct Recruitment is partnering confidentially with a global manufacturer to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner for its Alfreton operation.

This is a hands-on, standalone site role supporting a workforce of around 400 employees across manufacturing, supply chain and quality. You’ll combine complex employee relations work with meaningful operational and strategic people initiatives.

The role

  • Partner with senior site leaders on people plans, workforce planning and headcount efficiency
  • Lead complex ER cases, performance management and employee relations activity
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused employment-law guidance
  • Support talent, development, engagement and communication initiatives
  • Work closely with a wider HR centre of excellence, L&D, talent, reward and shared-services teams
  • Build trusted relationships across a fast-paced manufacturing environment

What we’re looking for

  • Proven HRBP or senior HR Manager experience within manufacturing, logistics, FMCG or another operational setting
  • Strong, current employment-law and complex ER knowledge
  • Confidence advising and challenging senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting manufacturing populations and large operational workforces
  • Union or employee-representation experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • A practical, visible and resilient approach—this is a role where being on site matters

  • £50,000–£58,000 base salary
