About the Role
Our client, a global financial services firm with a strong presence in Fixed Income and capital markets, is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to act as a strategic and operational partner to senior stakeholders across the business. This role covers the full employee lifecycle for employees across the UK and Europe, with line management responsibility for an HR Assistant. You'll work closely with Talent Acquisition, Compliance, and business leaders across Fixed Income and other functions to deliver a high-quality, commercially minded HR service.
This is an immediate need, ideally suited to someone able to join within one month.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers on all people matters, including performance management, employee and stakeholder relations, organisational design, and change management.
- Own end to end employee lifecycle processes for the UK and Europe, ensuring compliance with local employment law and internal policy.
- Partner closely with the Compliance team on the onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding of SMCR regulated employees, including business notifications and regulatory references.
- Lead on complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters, ensuring risk is appropriately managed.
- Manage the year end compensation process, including benchmarking, letter production, and close partnership with senior stakeholders across Fixed Income and other business areas.
- Support M&A related HR activity, including any integration, due diligence, or organisational change work arising from corporate transactions.
- Manage and develop an HR Assistant, providing oversight and coaching on day to day HR administration and lifecycle activity.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partner on workforce planning and hiring strategy across the UK and Europe.
- Drive HR projects and initiatives that improve process, policy, and employee experience across the business.
- Ensure HR data integrity across HRIS systems for accurate reporting and payroll processing.

Experience & Knowledge

- Proven HRBP or senior HR Advisor experience, ideally within Financial or Professional Services, with exposure to Fixed Income or trading desk populations.
- M&A experience, supporting HR through corporate transactions, integrations, or restructuring.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law; European employment law exposure advantageous.
- Experience working within an FCA regulated environment, with knowledge of SMCR strongly preferred.
- Confident operating with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive, confidential matters with discretion.
Qualifications
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
