The HR Business Partner is responsible for professionally and efficiently delivering the HR priorities across Twining’s UK&I Commercial Business Unit. In addition, the HR Business Partner will take an HR leadership role (including organisational performance process and people plans) for the Strand Store. The HR Business Partner will build effective relationships with key stakeholders including across the International HR community and within ABF. The HRBP will be the first point of contact for providing timely and proactive HR, expected to carry out operational activities within their stakeholder groups, and in alignment with both Twining’s Responsibilities and up to date employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with each UK&I Hub providing inputs from an HR perspective to define and achieve business and organisational goals.
- Identify areas for improvement, to mitigate risks and propose steps to rectify them.
- Deliver and embed key HR change projects, identified through International HR agenda, to drive improvements in the employee experience. Projects include, but are not limited to, Thrive, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and employee engagement across all UK&I Hubs.
- Design and Deliver People Manager training on key People topics including Thrive, DEI, Reward, Recruitment and other topics related to IHR and UK&I People agenda.
- Deployment of UK& Training Budget, liaising with providers to deliver the interventions, managing the employee onboarding to these interventions and evaluation to gauge ROI.
- Design and Deliver employee workshops as part of Connect Events and in year initiatives as required.
- Manage the deployment of People Insight methodologies in order to provide recommendations and insights that enable us to reach our KPIs.
- Manage the design delivery and participation in key initiatives within Belong, Wellbeing and Volunteering ensuring there is line of sight back to our Purpose, Vision and Mission at all times.
- Managing process across all stakeholder groups, including relationships with agencies, procurement, onboarding new suppliers where appropriate.
- Peer checking offer paperwork and contracts arising out of HRSS to direct the work and provide support as a point of escalation for the Hiring Managers across UK&I.
- Working with stakeholder regarding leavers, liaising with HRSS, identifying requirements and approaches to replace leavers, promotions, and leading the reward processes including pay review across Commercial Execution and Business Performance Hub.
- Shaping new roles and benchmarking, managing the process on GoTwO and liaising with Reward.
- Onboarding – responsible for the successful embedding of the UK&I onboarding experience enabling new joiners to quickly feel a sense of Belonging, understand our UK&I mission, vision and purpose and how their strengths will enable them to win at Twinings.
- Leading data collection across stakeholder groups driven by ABF requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Operational HR experience.
- UK employment legislation.
- Successful track record of developing Line Manager capability and has experience of coaching teams and individuals.
- Has delivered HR change projects.
- Knowledgeable on all dimensions of generalist HR.
- Broad HR operational problem-solving ability.
- Project Management.
- Strong people management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to simplify the complex.
- Able to influence others without positional power.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Commercially astute and financially literate.
- Curious about looking outside to find new and different ways of evolving the People agenda.
- Is driven to optimise people and organisational performance.
