This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
From leading recruitment campaigns and supporting organisational workforce needs to managing employee relations cases and driving staff wellbeing initiatives, you will be at the heart of helping schools attract, retain and develop talented people.
Client Details
Reporting to the Director of HR, you will play a key role in delivering a professional, consistent and people-focused HR service. You will work closely with senior leaders, staff and central services teams to provide expert advice on employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning and people management.
Description
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Provide expert advice and guidance on employment law, HR policies and employee relations matters.
- Manage and support a range of HR cases, including maternity, absence management and other employee-related processes.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and managers, providing practical people solutions.
- Work with external HR and legal providers where specialist support is required.

Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead and manage recruitment activity across multiple school sites.
- Prepare job advertisements, update job descriptions and coordinate interview processes.
- Oversee pre-employment checks and ensure compliance with safer recruitment requirements.
- Support effective induction and onboarding processes for new starters.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations, including oversight of the Single Central Record.
- Produce workforce data, reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage contracts and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Staff Development & Wellbeing
- Support performance management processes and workforce development initiatives.
- Coordinate training records and identify development opportunities.
- Lead and support wellbeing and absence management initiatives.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for staff seeking HR advice and support.

Profile
A successful Human Resources Business Partner should have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified
- Experience managing a broad range of HR and employee relations matters
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting recruitment, selection and onboarding processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work independently
- Strong IT and HR systems skills
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel between sites
